Curriculum

Our Programs

Four programs, taught in continuity with the classical Islamic tradition. Students may take one or several, paced by what's appropriate for their level.

Seerah (سيرة)

The Life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Students study the life of the Prophet ﷺ chronologically, from his early years in Mecca, through the period of revelation, to the founding of the community in Medina. The course emphasizes character, leadership, and the practical lessons that emerge from each event.

Age
Recommended for ages 9 and up
Taught by
Sheikh Mohammed Aldurah
See Seerah on the schedule →

Tafsir (تفسير)

The Meaning of the Quran

Students study selected surahs in depth: what the words mean, the context of revelation (asbab al-nuzul), and how the early generations understood them. Material is paired with classical commentaries and adapted to the level of the class.

Age
All ages, with separate sections by level
Taught by
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Areef

Fiqh (فقه)

The Practice of the Faith

Purification (taharah), prayer (salah), fasting (sawm), zakah, and everyday conduct, grounded in classical jurisprudence and taught for application. Students learn the why behind each ruling, not only the what.

Hifdh (حفظ)

Memorization of the Quran

Memorization paced for retention, with attention to tajwid (proper recitation) from the very first surah. Students progress at their own pace; the goal is durable memorization, not racing through pages.
